If you’ve never caught flick at the Pioneer Theatre, you are missing out on a treat and you should put a visit to the Manteo landmark on your Holiday to-do list!
Thought to be North Carolina’s oldest, continually running family-owned theater, the Pioneer recently got a sprucing-up with new chairs and wall curtains.
The original Pioneer opened in 1917 at a different location than it’s current address at 113 Budleigh St., and was last renovated in the 1960’s.
The recent work was handled by Lewis Theatrical Installations, a company from Georgia.
The 315-seat theater shows clean, family-oriented movies for a great price, and they have the freshest popcorn and candy around–all for a fraction of the price paid at big cineplexes, and with 110% more home-town charm.
