Dare County Schools offer free bus driver training

Dare County Schools are looking for dependable bus drivers and are having a free bus driver training session on June 9, 10 and 11. The three day course will be held at Nags Head Elementary School from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. and is free to participants.

School bus drivers are being sought to drive students to and from school, on field trips and also to extracurriculars on the activity buses. Anyone over the age of 21 with a clean and valid driver’s license and is interested in participating in the three day course can call Lillie Hussey who is DCS transportation information manager, at 473-3717, ext.22, to register.

School bus drivers in Dare County enjoy the BOSS (Businesses Offering Schools Support) employee discount program. They also can earn monthly bonuses for having perfect attendance. Please consider driving a school bus for Dare County Schools and call to register for the June 2008 training session at Nags Head Elementary School.
