December Aquarium events for kids
Published December 16, 2007 by adminThe North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island is offering super fun activities for kids of all ages throughout December.
For information and program registration call (252) 473-3494 ext.232. Most programs require that a paying adult accompany children aged 12 and under. A credit card is necessary to hold all reservations and 24 hours notice is required for all cancellations.
Programs include:
“Aqua Tales for Tots” is a reading and craft activities session for ages 3 to 5; a “Behind the Scenes” tour of the Aquarium inner workings for ages 8 and older; “Breakfast with the Rays,” where kids 6 years and up can assist staff with the Rays’ morning feeding; and “Snack with the Sharks,” where ages 8 and older can observe the shark feedings.
Arts & crafts programs include Gyotaku (Fish Printing) for ages 6 and up; making Holiday Nautical Wreaths for those 8 years and older; and learning Seaweed Marbling techniques for kids aged 6 and up.
We are fortunate to have such a nice Aquarium here on the Outer Banks. Most programs have at least one session a week throughout December, so call today to register your child for some of these fun and educational programs!
