Come this November, the residents of Hatteras Island will have a chance to let it be known whether they are for or against liquor by the drink in restaurants. The petitions have been signed and the referendum has been put on the ballot to allow liquor by the drink in the Hatteras Island Villages of Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo, Avon, Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras.
There are heated arguments on both sides ranging from increased alcoholism to loss of business revenue. Pick a side and get out and vote in November or live with somebody else’s choice.
