Island Free Press now online

Boasting the header “Up to Date and Down to Earth,” the news site is accessed at www.islandfreepress.org and is the brainchild of Irene Nolan, The Island Breeze’s editor for 16 years who moved to Frisco in 1991 after many years at a large Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper in Louisville, KY.
Jammed with all the info you’d find in a conventional newspaper, the Island Free Press delivers tons of info such as local news (like the sturggle between ORV motorists and environmental beach-closers) , community events, letters and commentary, weather, fishing reports, business briefs, local history special features, real estate info, local classified ads, you name it.
The venture is supported by local advertising, with ads having direct links to the corresponding individual local business websites.
