Kelly’s-Penguin Isle Golf Classic Monday, Oct. 22
Published October 12, 2007 by adminNags Head Golf Links will be the site of the 14th Annual Kelly’s-Penguin Isle Golf Benefit Classic teeing off at noon with a shotgun start on Monday, October 22nd.
The Outer Banks Community Foundation helps 60 non-profit groups on the Outer Banks and this annual tournament has raised over $240,000 toward those local causes, given in quarterly grants.
Outer Banks Harley-Davidson is sponsoring a Hole-in-One prize on Hole 10 where contestants can shoot for a 2008 XL 883 Sportster. Other prizes, including cash, will be equally distributed among the three-flight tournament.
The Kelly’s folks are proud to help and the Outer Banks Community Foundation, online at www.obcf.org, is expecting a huge turnout like always. Often there is a waiting list for the event.
The 19th Hole celebration begins at Penguin Isle Restaurant at Mile Post 16 on the bypass in Nags Head Monday evening at 5:30 pm.
Forms are available now to register and sign up to sponsor a team at these locations: Kelly’s Restaurant and Tavern at Mile Post 10.5 on the bypass in Nags Head; Penguin Isle Restaurant; or at the Nags Head Golf Links.
