Nags Head Septic Tank Inspection and Pumping Program
Published March 31, 2008 by Sabrina GordonThe Town of Nags Head contracts with independent inspectors from July 1, 2007 through May 31, 2008 to perform free septic system inspections for property owners who have on-site septic systems. Contact the town at 252-449-6047 or you can email Todd Krafft at krafft@townofnagshead.net for and inspection.
There is no cost for the septic inspection and the town will contact you with the inspection results and inform you if your tank needs pumping. If your tank needs pumping, you may contact a firm of your choice and then provide the town with a copy of a paid invoice for the pumping and receive a $30 water credit.
Since repairing and replacing septic systems has increased in cost over the past few years, loans are now available through the town. The maximum amount of the loans is five thousand dollars. Call 252-449-6047 for a free inspection or more information.
