North Carolina Lifts Outdoor Burning Ban
Published October 8, 2007 by adminThe ban on burning outdoor fires in North Carolina that was put into effect on August 21 has finally been lifted. Enough rain fell across the state last week so that officials with the NC Division of Forest Resources were comfortable with lifting the burning ban. There was not enough rain to alleviate the drought situation.
As of the writing of this post the burn ban was still in effect in Dare County and in The Cape Hatteras National Park. if you want to burn some yard debris or have a beach fire you should still check with the local municipality for a permit.
