Outer Banks Campgrounds open at Oregon Inlet, Frisco, and Ocracoke

The camping fees for Frisco, Oregon Inlet and Cape Point are $20 per night and at the Ocracoke Campground is $23 a night.
If you have a Golden Age or Golden Access pass, or the new Inter agency Senior or Access passes, you will receive a 50% discount on camp sites. Group camping is available at the Oregon Inlet Campground for $4.00 per person a night for groups of 7-30 people. Reservations must be made two weeks in advance for group camping. The reservations number is 252-441-0882.
Ocracoke Campground is the only National Park Service campground on the Outer Banks where campers can make advanced reservations. Reservations for Ocracoke can be made by calling 1-877-444-6777 or on the Internet at www.recreation.gov. Campsites at Frisco, Oregon Inlet and Cape Point are assigned on a first come first served basis.
A limit of no more than 6 persons and two vehicles are allowed to occupy a single campsite. Pop-up campers are considered vehicles. Parking spaces for extra vehicles is limited so please have arrangements to park your extra vehicle outside the park or rent another campsite. Generators may not be run between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Campsites can not be occupied for more than 14 consecutive days.
The Ocracoke Island Campground is open through October 27. Oregon Inlet and Frisco Campgrounds will be open through October 13. Cape Point Campground in Buxton will open on Friday, May 23 just in time for Memorial Day weekend and will be open til Labor Day Weekend. Cape Hatteras National Seashore has four campgrounds and they all accommodate tents, trailers, and motor homes no longer than 35 feet. Camping on Cape Hatteras National Seashore is permitted only in designated campgrounds. For more information go to www.nps.gov/caha.
