Outer Banks Concert Chorale Performs Pre-Concert
at NC Symphony June 5
Roanoke Island – The Outer Banks Concert Chorale will perform a pre-concert on Thursday, June 5, at 7 p.m, in conjunction with the 7th annual performance of the North Carolina Symphony at Roanoke Island Festival Park. The NC Symphony will perform at 8 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau and the Dare County Tourism Board. It is free and open to the public. Parking will be available throughout the town of Manteo and on a first-come, first -serve basis at Roanoke Island Festival Park. Handicap parking will also be available at the Park. Gates open a 6 p.m.
Forest Warren, Conductor, is the founder and artistic director of the Concert Chorale of the Outer Banks. He earned his Music degree from Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ. He attended Juilliard School in New York and has performed with the New York Philharmonic, Boston Opera, Western Opera Theatre in San Francisco, People’s National Theatre in Yugoslavia and more. He lives in Nags Head.
David Spangler, Accompanist, resides in Manteo and is Organist/Choir Director at St. Andrews-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Nags Head.
Seating for the June 5 concert will be on the lawn, so guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Picnics are also welcomed.
