Seamark Foods closing Nags Head store
Published November 13, 2007 by adminAfter 18 years in business the Seamark grocery store in Nags Head will close its doors at the end of the month. When it goes we will lose the personal small town service that we took for granted. Gone will be quality meats and the variety. Gone will be the competition that kept Food Lion under control.
If history repeats itself like it always does we can expect to see the prices at the store next door go up and the variety of foods and brands go down. Food Lion is famous for being the cheapest store in town until they drive out the competition. Then they raise their prices and get rid of the name brands that don’t have the profit margin of their store brand.
Sometimes change is not for the better. The Seamark store in Kitty Hawk will remain open. Please support them or lose the competition that helps make living here affordable.
